Barrett alumni mentorship program

Program overview

Alumni mentors can offer a unique perspective that complements your academic experience and prepares you for your post-graduation journey. The Barrett Alumni Mentorship Program matches current undergraduates with Barrett alumni. Mentors are valuable resources who volunteer to pay it forward and share what they have learned with the next class of honors students – you! Barrett’s goal is to provide students with support, guidance, and resources, helping you make the most of your college experience and prepare for a successful transition to your post-graduation careers.

Each semester, mentees will review the mentor information and complete an application indicating their top three choices of preferred mentors. Three program tiers are offered and it is required to choose the tier that best suits your availability to ensure commitments are honored.

Program tiers

  1. Tier 1: One-time meeting with an alum for an informational career interview
  2. Tier 2: Matched with an alum that is available as a resource throughout one semester for questions on an as-needed basis
  3. Tier 3: Scheduled monthly meetings with alum for the duration of one entire semester
