Two students on travel

Barrett travel scholarship

Each academic year, Barrett awards a limited number of need-based scholarships to students participating in a Barrett Global Intensive Experience (GIE) or summer travel program.

The scholarship is open to any Barrett student on all campuses with full-time enrollment status and a cumulative GPA of 3.25.

Students also must remain in good standing with the university: suspension, dismissal or withdrawal from ASU prior to the end of the semester will automatically revoke this scholarship and students may be liable to repay any funds disbursed from this scholarship for that semester.
In order to receive this scholarship, students must be confirmed on a GIE or summer travel program for the current academic year. Students must apply for the program through the ASU Global Education Office.

Students must apply for the Barrett Travel scholarship online. If a travel program is not open for enrollment, please identify the GIE or summer program you intend to apply for on the scholarship application.

Barrett Global Explorers Grant

The Barrett Global Explorers Grant (BGEG) supports globally-focused summer research experiences. This grant provides up to $5,000 to fund a summer research experience focused on a global topic that supports the completion of the Barrett honors thesis. It is unique because it is not a true "national scholarship" - this award is open only to Barrett students in their third year of study.
