Community and Emergency Scholarships

Community scholarship or emergency scholarship?

Barrett is aware that financial need may change during your time at ASU. As a result, we have two scholarships that can be awarded on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Below is a brief description of both the Community and Emergency Scholarships. Please contact Dean Rendell with any questions at dawn.rendell@asu.edu.

  • Varies based on need, maximum $4,000

To apply:

  • Student completes application at https://smapply.barrett.asu.edu
  • Application prompts student to meet with Financial Aid (can be via phone) and complete questionnaire
  • All applicants meet with Dean Rendell

Emergency scholarship

Other information:

  • Awarded on an ongoing, as needed basis as long as funds are available

*Financial need is typically determined using Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) on the FAFSA. However, we do take into account other considerations that may not be considered in the calculation of EFC.

**While a 3.25 GPA is a requirement, as necessary, we may fund students with a lower GPA based on ability to increase GPA prior to graduation, pending withdrawals, special circumstances, etc.
