In Barrett, we recognize that parents, families, and loved ones are integral to our students’ success, both on campus and beyond.
As the year progresses, your student will likely call home with questions and concerns as they adjust to college. This is a new environment, and the transition from high school to college can be overwhelming for some students as they adapt to roommates, residence halls, rigorous classes, and increased autonomy. We want to help you be positioned to provide support and direct students to resources both in Barrett and around campus.
We view you as partners in your student’s success. Barrett Student Services staff are here as a resource for both you and your student. If you have concerns about your student or questions about how to help them navigate Barrett and ASU, we hope you will feel free to reach out to us. You should also feel free to refer your student to us if they have questions or concerns.
What should I do if I am concerned about my student?
We know that students often reach out to family and friends for support with a variety of challenges they may face on campus.
If you are worried your student is at immediate risk, please contact ASU police at 480-965-3456 or dial 911.
