Thesis

W. P. Carey School of Business invites both qualitative and quantitative research for the Honor's thesis. We are open to scholarly research projects, field studies and/or innovative studies in entrepreneurship and management. W. P. Carey requires a two-person thesis committee. The thesis director must be a continuing faculty member at ASU with a terminal degree. The second committee member can be anyone with sufficient expertise in the thesis topic.

Academic Preparation

There are no required courses to complete before embarking on thesis projects but it is recommended that students have completed junior level required courses for their major at the time of their thesis proposal. It is further recommended that students consider selecting electives that match their planned thesis topic.

Recommended Timeline

It is recommended that students begin brainstorming and exploration of topics during their junior year. It is further recommended that students do exploratory research and investigation into their thesis topic during the summer following completion of their junior year and work throughout their senior year under the direction of their thesis committee on the honors thesis.
