Do you want to change the world for the better? Learn about security, intelligence, and diplomacy, as well as international trade, law and institutions from faculty experts and policy practitioners. Develop the analytic and communication skills and awareness of global systems to enact meaningful change in the public, nonprofit and private sectors. In a globalized world with increasing political, economic, demographic and climatic challenges, studies in international relations are all the more prized by the public and private sectors. Students studying International Relations develop analytic skill sets and mastery of forward-thinking content areas through rigorous curriculum, distinct internships and research opportunities.

Bachelor of Arts program - Students learn about national security, cybersecurity, AI-intelligence strategies, conflict processes, diplomacy, international trade, and both international organizations and countries across the globe.

Bachelor of Science program- Students gain valuable practical knowledge about national security, cybersecurity, AI-intelligence strategies, conflict processes, diplomacy, international trade, and both international organizations and countries across the globe.

Thesis

International Relations thesis projects can fall into any of the Barrett Honors Thesis Pillar areas. Students will need to develop a topic withing international relations to apply to their project in: 

Research - Outcome focuses on original research

Creative Project - Outcome is original creative work

Community Enrichment and Service - Outcome benefits the community through service

Global Engagement - Outcome develops global awareness and engagement

Personal and Professional Development - Outcome focuses on skills for career preparation
