We welcome you into our culture of academic excellence and integrity and we hope you help promote and foster ethical practices in connection with your scholarly work and interaction with your peers.
Academic Integrity Policy and Procedures
As a student at ASU, you are expected to follow all of the university’s policies concerning academic integrity. This means that academic honesty is expected of all students in examinations, papers, academic transactions and records. All instructors will indicate how work should be done for their classes or for research/internship experiences. They will also indicate what is not acceptable. Please pay special attention to the professor’s policy on the use of AI in the class. If a student is found in violation of one of the academic integrity policies, a report can be made against them. The possible sanctions include, but are not limited to: appropriate grade penalties, loss of registration privileges, disqualification and dismissal. ASU and Barrett strictly adhere to the academic integrity policy. If you do not know what constitutes academic dishonesty, take this tutorial.
Anyone can make a report about an academic integrity concern. You can make a report here.
If a report is made against you, you will be contacted by the Academic Integrity Officer for Barrett, the Honors College, Dr. Laura Jakubczak.
